Before we move on to creating a Blog, First of all we need to understand what a Blog is..

A Blog (an abridgment of the term web log) is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order.

"Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on artartlog), photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos, music (MP3 blog), audiopodcasting are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging which consists of blogs with very short posts...

First Step in Creating a Blog:

Before you go on creating a Blog you must first decide a theme of your blog...

The first thing you should have in order to create your weblog is a plan of action. You have to decide what you are going to write about? How often? What is the importance of your Blog for people?, and do you care? Without such a plan, the chances of your blog lasting are next to none. Enthusiasm and focus are important here. If you are planning to communicate with friends through your blog, you have to make sure that you provide such facility in your Blog..

Once you have all these ready, it's time to think about where and how you are going to create and update your blog.

Creating a Webblog with Blogger

Creating a webblog with Blogger.com is probably the easiest and the fastest as the in-build tools and free (ad-supported) hosting available with this site is user friendly. You can use which ever service you want, but for now I am going to tell you about the one I have mentioned because of its simplicity...

Creating a Blog takes 3 easy steps:

1. Create an account

2. Name your blog

3. Choose a template

1. Create an Account:

You need an email account with gmail to create a Blog with Blogger. This email will be used for login to your blogger and other Google services. If you already have a gmail account, you can simply give the details and proceed with the process. If you dont have a gmail, you can create one by clicking HERE

2. Name your Blog:

Here you will be asked a name for your Blog.. You can select a name that rightly matches your Content.. eg., http://money-webs.blogspot.com. The one I have highlighted is the name of this blog as we are going to learn how to make money using this blog..

3. Choose a Template:

Here you have to choose a template design you like.. You can choose any template for now. And you can change these templates later...

Creating your First Post:

Login to your Blogger account. You will find a Dash Board like this.. There your Blog Name appears in block letters.. Here it shows "INTERNET MONEY". Thats the name of my blog.. If you want to view your blog you can do so by clicking the View Blog option. If you want to post anything new, Choose New Post, or if you want to make any changes in your previous posts, settings, layouts you can do so by clicking the corresponding options.

Your First Post:

In the Text Box you can type whatever you want to show up on your blog. Click 'preview' to see how it's going to look, then 'publish post' to send what you've just entered to your blog site.

Congratulations! You just made your first post to your brand new weblog. Remember that if you wish to simply view your blog, you can go directly to the www.(youraddresshere).blogspot.com address, but if you wish to make posts or edit options for your blog, you must go to www.blogger.com and log in with the user name and password you created.

To post links, use the insert link button at the top. You can highlight a piece of text then convert it into a link. If you wish to place a picture or document on your weblog, use the 'upload file' option then choose whether you wish the actual file to appear on the page or just a link to it.

Having second thoughts about something you've just said? Click on 'Edit posts' in the 'posting' menu of your blog to edit or delete prior posts.
